At the “BEST VALUE” store, food health and safety are a key objective, ensured through a number of internal processes relating both to our stores and each product separately. Our Quality Control Department, in cooperation with the company’s respective Departments, its suppliers and external labs, is responsible for carrying out continuous analyses of all products, assessing their results and setting rigorous standards for our company’s private label products, to benefit our customers.
Food Safety Management System (HACCP)
We have been awarded a Food Safety Management system certification (HACCP) from TÜV AUSTRIA HELLAS/CYPRUS, the internationally acclaimed and accredited by the Hellenic Accreditation System certification body, which implements the international specifications of the Codex AlimentariusThis enables us to safely manage all our products, from the moment we receive them until they reach the hands of the consumers.
Cold chain procedure
We ensure compliance with the cold chain procedure for perishable goods, throughout all stages of storage and transit, according to stringent processes, starting from their delivery to our central warehouses, during their transport in refrigerated lorries and finally to their delivery to the store.
For the entire duration of the management and refrigeration of perishable goods, both before they reach our store and while in our store, we track their temperature with recording equipment and thermometers, to ensure their continuous refrigeration. Products will always reach your table safely and in excellent condition.
